2017 Jamboree Information
The 2017 Street Hockey Jamboree is scheduled for Saturday, September 16 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.
The one-day event, which is being held for the 4th year, will take place on Kent Street (between Great George Street and Prince Street) in Downtown Charlottetown. Check-in begins at 7 a.m. and games start promptly at 8 a.m.
The event is open to boys and girls ages 6-12 and is free of charge. Teams will consist of four players and will be joined by an Islanders player or coach. Each team will be guaranteed four games in the rain-or-shine event. All registrations must be completed with teams of 4.
Every player will receive an Islanders T-shirt, Islanders Kit Bag and a coupon for one youth ticket to opening weekend. Family and friends are welcome to attend the event with the recommendation that they bring lawn chairs for seating.
Water and a medical station will be on site to tend to any injuries or issues that occur throughout the day.
In addition to the ball hockey games, fans will have the chance to enjoy autographs and picture opportunities with Islanders players, a free BBQ, face painting, giveaways from Old Dutch and Pepsi. The event will be hosted by The New Hot 105.5. Following the ball hockey event there will be the official introduction of the 2017/18 Charlottetown Islanders roster.

Rules
- Games will be played 4-on-4 plus an Islanders player or coach
- Players must bring their own equipment including helmet, sneakers, hockey stick, and gloves. Additional protection is optional but recommended.
- One of the 4 players must be goalie with their own street hockey equipment
- Games are 10 minutes
- 5 minute break after each game/ can be used as warm-up for next game
- Games are played using an orange street hockey ball
- No slap shots
- No off-sides
