Islanders Aquire Two New Forwards at Training Camp
The Charlottetown Islanders training camp just grew by two forwards. Fresh off the plane from Ontario, the Islanders welcome Marcel Berube and Kyle West to training camp.
Marcel Berube comes from London, Ontario, stands at 6’00”, and weighs in at183 lbs. Berube played in the GOJHL league with the Lambton Shore Predators for the past two years where he recorded 40 total points in the 2016-17 season and 26 total points in the 2015-2016 season. This 1999 left shooter is bound to make an impact when he hits the ice with the Islanders at Thursdays practice.
Kyle West had a busy 2016-2017 season, he started off the year in the GOJHL with the Caledonia Corsairs, racking up 17 total points before being traded to the Brantford Jr. B 99ers where he recorded a total of 23 points in 23 games, 12 of those points being goals scored. West also played in three games for the Oakville Blades during the OJHL playoffs. West, born in 1998, stands at 6’3″, 181 lbs and is a left shooter. The Charlottetown Islanders have had their eye on the Burlington, Ontario player and anticipate a strong on ice presence.
