Islanders Add Ontario Talent

The Islanders will have a new face in their line-up tonight as they take on Saint John Sea Dogs.

 

The Islanders have signed Waterloo, Ontario native Sullivan Sparkes and he will be in the Isles line-up tonight wearing the number 12.

 

Sparkes is a 5’11, left-handed shooting forward who has played the last two seasons for the OHL’s Oshawa Generals. In 96 career games with the Generals the energetic 18 year-old has tallied 7 goals and 17 points.

 

Sparkes was originally drafted in the fifth round of the OHL draft after scoring 48 goals and 88 points in 62 Midget AAA games for his hometown Waterloo Wolves.
