The Islanders look to keep rolling on Tuesday as they visit the 2nd overall Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
The Titan hold a record of 41-15-7-1 through 65 games this season, leading the Maritime Divison. They trail only the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada who have clinched first place in the QMJHL.
Bathurst holds one of the league’s top offenses, scoring the 4th most goals in the league with 255 on the season.
Leading the way for the Titan all season long has been Anaheim Ducks prospect Antoine Morand, who leads his team in goal scoring with 25. Morand also leads the Titan in points with 75 while also sitting second on the team in assist (50) trailing only Summerside native Noah Dobson who has 52 on the season.
A big part of the Titan offense has been their efficiency on the power play, owning the 2nd best in the QMJHL, capitalizing on 26.4 per cent of their opportunities.
On the other side of the puck the Titan have allowed the 2rd fewest goals against this season, with only 173 getting past Titan goaltenders. Since joining the team, St. Louis Blues prospect, Evan Fitzpatrick has been outstanding. He’s allowed only 35 goals against, maintained a GAA of 2.05 and a Save Percentage of 0.920.
The Titan also have one of the best penalty killing units in the league, ranking 2nd in the QMJHL, stopping 84.1 per cent of their short-handed chances.
Coming into Tuesday game the Titan have won seven straight.
