Budgell Jan 4

The Isles keep things rolling on Monday against the Baie-Comeau Drakkar, who sit 14th in league standings with a record of 17-19-2-1.  Baie-Comeau has struggled offensively this season, ranking 3rd last in QMJHL, scoring 114 goals this season.

The Drakkar power play has also been struggling, ranking 15th in the league, operating on only 17.1 per cent.

They have also struggled to keep the puck out of their net, allowing the 7th most goals against in the league this season with 130 getting past goaltenders Antoine Samuel and Justin Blanchette.  Despite the goals against, Baie-Comeau currently ranks just outside the top 10 in league penalty killing, sitting 12th with their team killing off 79.8 per cent of chances against.

A player to keep an eye on from the Drakkar side is 19-year-old forward Jordan Martel. The QMJHL’s 11th highest scorer has 44 points through 39 games this season and has scored 23 times, good for the 4th most goals in the league.

Monday night is also Minor Hockey Jersey Night so please wear your team’s colours to the rink and receive $6 group rate on student and youth tickets.
