Islanders back on the road to take on the Titan

After a tough 8-2 loss last night at home vs. Halifax, the Charlottetown Islanders hit the road for a matchup against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.

The Isles will be looking to exact a measure of revenge on the Titan; Bathurst defeated Charlottetown 3-2 in overtime at the Eastlink Centre back on September 27th. The Islanders will attempt to inflict the same damage in Bathurst.

Since then, the Titan (3-4-0-0) have come away with two lopsided wins against the Saint John Sea Dogs, while also being handed losses by Gatineau and Moncton. The Islanders (3-5-1-0) have had one win since that game, that coming against the Chicoutimi Sagueneens this past weekend.

Forward Logan Chisholm leads Bathurst in points, with 10 in 7 games. His 9 assists on the season is good for sixth in the QMJHL. On defense, the team is led as always by captain and Summerside, PEI native Noah Dobson. The New York Islanders draft pick has five points in five games since returning from the Islanders NHL training camp.

For the Charlottetown Islanders, Keith Getson continues to lead the way with 6 points in 9 games. With his assist last night against Halifax, Thomas Casey pulled in to second on the team with five points.

Tonight’s game will be available on Fair Isle Ford Isles Radio. Tune in to catch all the action HERE. Don’t forget that our next home game is Sunday at 3:00pm against the Saint John Sea Dogs. Tickets for that game can be purchased at the Eastlink Centre box office, by phone at 902-629-6625, or online at https://boxoffice.eastlinkcentrepei.com.
