Islanders pick Goalie & Forward in American Draft

The QMJHL held a two-round online draft for American born players on Monday morning. The Charlottetown Islanders held the 10th and 28th overall selections and used them on Selects Hockey Academy goalie Tommy Aitken and Lawrence Academy forward Sam Colangelo.

Aitken (2002/08/30) appeared in 29 games with the Selects Hockey Academy last season finishing with a 1.26 Goals Against Average and a .932 Save Percentage.

Colangelo (2001/12/26) played 29 games for Lawrence Academy last season. He scored 13 goals and 29 assists for a total of 42 points.
