Islanders acquire veteran Dawson Stairs

The Charlottetown Islanders have acquired veteran forward Dawson Stairs from the Cape Breton Eagles. It was announced on Thursday morning by General Manager Jim Hulton.
In return, the Islanders have sent Matis Ouellet and a 2023 6th round pick to the Eagles.
19-year-old Stairs is a Fredericton, NB native and was selected by the Saint John Sea Dogs in 2018. In 139 career games, he has recorded 41 goals and 42 assists.
“We view Dawson as a pure goal scorer” commented Hulton, “He has a heavy shot and quick release. We think he’ll be a great compliment to our existing group.”
