Islanders acquire Bailey Peach from Phoenix

The Charlottetown Islanders made a splash on the first day of the QMJHL’s holiday trading period, acquiring right winger Bailey Peach from the Sherbrooke Phoenix in exchange for a package of draft picks.

Peach (2001-03-08) is a 5’10 veteran from Falmouth, Nova Scotia who was originally selected 11th overall by the Phoenix in the 2017 QMJHL Draft. This season, in five games Peach has recorded two assists.

His career season came just last year, when the 19-year-old picked up 19 goals and 46 points in 52 games played. In his career, Peach has played 160 regular season games, recording 33 goals and 90 points in that time.

“The acquisition of Bailey Peach is a significant move for our hockey team,” said Islanders head coach and general manager Jim Hulton. “Bailey adds a veteran presence to our group, along with a proven offensive pedigree. We are excited to add him to our group.”

In exchange, the Islanders sent a 2021 3rd round pick, a 2021 7th round pick, a 2022 2nd round pick, and a 2023 2nd round pick.

The Islanders would like to welcome Bailey Peach to the organization, and look forward to him joining the team in the New Year!
