PEI native Jacob Squires acquired from Eagles

As the trade period opens for the 2022 season General Manager Jim Hulton announced the acquisition of Prince Edward Island native Jacob Squires from the Cape Breton Eagles. The Islanders sent a 2024 6th-round draft pick to the Eagles.

The veteran blue liner has suited for 146 regular-season games between the Eagles and Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. He was selected by the Huskies in the 3rd round of the 2019 draft.
