QMJHL releases its 2020–2021 regular season schedule

QMJHL

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League will kick off its 52nd season on October 2, 2020. Sixteen teams will be in action on opening night, including your Charlottetown Islanders taking on the Moncton Wildcats at 7:00pm at the Avenir Centre.

Charlottetown’s first home game of the 60-game season will take place on Friday, October 23rd at 7:00pm against the Saint John Sea Dogs.

All regular season games will be played within six-team divisions which should add fuel to the fire to some of the league’s greatest rivalries. Moreover, with a reduced schedule, 83% of games will be played on weekends (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) this season.

The 540-game schedule will come to a close on April 3rd, as all teams will be in action for what might be an exciting and decisive day for playoff seeding. The 2021 President Cup playoff format will be announced later in December.

Stay tuned for further announcements in the coming weeks on how fans will be able to follow all the action online via webcasts!
