Islanders acquire 2022 2nd round pick for Booth

Charlottetown Islanders head coach and general manager Jim Hulton announced today that the team has acquired a 2022 2nd round pick from the Shawinigan Cataractes in exchange for defensive prospect Angus (Gus) Booth.

Booth (2004-04-27) was selected by the Islanders in the fourth round, 60th overall in the 2020 QMJHL Draft. Last season with the Laval-Montreal Rousseau Royal (LHJMAAAQ), Booth recorded one goal and five points in 38 games. He’s the younger brother of former Quebec Remparts and Saint John Sea Dogs goalie Callum Booth.

The 2020 Charlottetown Islanders Training Camp presented by ADL gets underway on Sunday, August 30th with the team’s first preseason game taking place in Moncton against the Wildcats on Tuesday, September 1st at 2:00pm.
